Hello. I picked up my 2002 RS last month and have been busy catching up on maintenance and a few mods. It's been an adjustment for me coming from a long line of Japanese in line 4's, but I'm starting to like the quirkiness of this bike and all the unusual sounds and vibrations that she makes. Handles better than anything I've owned before. I really enjoy this site and have learned a lot. Thanks, Mark

Welcome! Yeah, I guess going from inline 4s to horizontal twins is going to be a bit of a shock. Hurry up with the maintenance so you can get more miles in!! :dance

Total Stud Bike. I have one the same super fast color, but a few years older. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. Living up north you may appreciate that fact you can get hand guards which do a great job of keeping the wind off your hands. Easy to put on and take off...something like 3-4 screws on each side.

Aw, (sniff, sniff) it's beautiful! Reminds me of my dearly departed 01 RS

Are you in Ohio? There's a camp out near Bellville Ohio June 12-14th. Even if you don't camp, stop by sometime during the weekend and meet with other BMW riders. Pot luck dinner Saturday evening and quality time around the fire. Sounds pretty good eh?

Welcome to the world of BMWs! I love torque and feel of the flat twin. FYI, they like it around 4k rpm. Don't lug it. Nothing better than a ride in the twisties and never seeing 5th gear!

Welcome Aboard!

Welcome to the club and the forum! I like that bike, I'm sure you will too.

Thanks for being a member!

Welcome from an RSL at the north end of the state
