Since my new GT has considerably less carrying capacity than my former bike - a '91 K100RS - riding two-up to the rally with my wife meant carrying camping gear was out of the question.
At the suggestion of friends, we reserved a tent and queen-size air bed with Camp Easy at Magic Island.
We only used two of the three nights we paid for - a few minutes with the Weather Channel Thursday morning persuaded me to stay home another day and ride down from Indiana on Friday - but we still think we got our money's worth.
Our tent was ready for us when we arrived Friday afternoon and the air bed was exceptionally comfortable. Our stuff stayed dry despite a couple of downpours and the Camp Easy folks were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Of course, it wasn't their fault that the all-night security light made it impossible to distinguish night from day in our tent and the nearby I-64 bridge traffic made it was sorta like sleeping in the median of a busy superhighway.
Camp Easy can count on us for return business!
