I saw this exact set-up in the photo below on a 2014 RTW with BMW driving lights attached at my dealership yesterday. The Ilium engine guards and highway pegs were very high quality. I liked how the highway pegs could rotate and solidly snapped in the upward position when not in use. Something I might consider next season as well.

Yup, with clearwater Krista lights using Illium brackets. I like them, had the Illium pegs on my GT and wanted them for long trips on the RT. The Illium light brackets handle the big Krista lights with no problem.

Pics later, just finished washing the buts off her.

I need a set of highway pegs and I like the look of the Ilium's a lot, but I keep choking on the price. Adventure Designs sells a set for considerably less (though still spendy) but the MTW clamps that AD uses look crude...like they belong on a riding lawnmower.

I have both Illium bars and pegs. Used the the Clearwater hardware to mount the Erikas. I'll post a pic or two later.

That is really nice looking matching top case!
Question- I am thinking about getting one of those Bakup backrests for my RT as well. When the wife rides pillion behind me she likes to put her arms around me. It looks like that might get in the way...what has been your experience? TIA

The BU rest is only 11" wide. Unless you're built like Justin Bieber, she'll have plenty of you to get her arms around.

It's a GTL top case, I haven't seen anyone implement that on an RT.

Does anyone know if the Ilium Engine Guards are in the way for any maintenance procedures?
