No, non members are welcome. Hopefully the great time had at the event will encourage them to become a member.

Fontana and Cedar City fill up quickly. This is first year for Eureka Springs, Pine Mountain, Couchiching, and Coeur d'Alene so I can't say how popular each will be. My guess is most will sell out.

    Like KOA?
About 4 miles West of the host hotel is a KOA... West on 62 for 3.7 and left (south) on AR 187 about 9/10ths.

This is the perfect post for the Getaways. One initiative of these events is to collect unique places that maybe off the beaten path and considered a can't miss when in the area. We'd like to compile those and provide it ahead of time to attendees or as day rides during the event. Maybe even a topic for the ON if we find really cool spots.

If you have a location that is a favorite of yours, how about posting it up here and letting us know. We'll compile those before the event and share with the rest of the group. Even if it seems like a well known destination, post it anyway. Consider that some members traveling to Eureka Springs don't know the area or have never ridden there before.

Even if you are not attending, give us your favorites. It can be anything - restaurants, great roads, quaint places or scenic views. Give me anything within say 150 miles of Eureka Springs that is worth stopping. Those members that do attend the Getaway or traveling will appreciate the advice!

Agree with Pancakes restaurant for breakfast. It's always crowded, but don't walk away. Wait your turn - it'll be worth it.

Like Thai food? Next to Pancakes is the Thai House... really nice menu.

Near Pancakes (behind the Pine Mountain Jamboree) is Grandma's Beans n' Cornbread - pretty filling.

Café Amore Italian restaurant is one of my favs, across the street from the Pine Mountain theater... tell Chef Katherine that Stephen sent you. http://www.cafeamorearkansas.com/ABOUT.html

Sparky's Roadhouse is a great spot for lunch (and dinner) & of course adult beverages are served as well as some nice sandwiches. http://www.sparkysroadhouse.com/
Hit the button that says Impressive Beer List.

In Jasper, about 60 miles from ES on Scenic AR7, is the Ozark Café a Mecca for all people motorcycling near the Buffalo National River area. Extremely crowded at lunch time, but it seems a must-do for most folks and they wait however-long for a table. Get there early or late to avoid that mess.

But! Just around the corner from the Ozark Café, also on 7, is the tiny hole-in-the-wall type place, Sharron K's Café. No atmosphere here unless you like the shack-type cafes (I do!) Getting more popular as days go by, but it's still better than the wait at the Ozark.

About 6 miles south of Jasper, the Cliff House restaurant hangs over the "Arkansas Grand Canyon" so to speak. Nice scenic restaurant with an all-glass wall on the cliff side. Decent food, but I go for the cobbler - blackberry! Get there early 'cause they close up when the food runs out.

Scenic Views: I'll get in trouble for letting this one out - Rock House Road (County Rd 302) east of Eureka Spgs on 62. Turn right on the little road next to the Echo Medical Clinic off 62. Follow it to AR 221 and turn left (right is a dead end) and 221 takes you to the back side of Berryville. 221 is a very fun road in it's own right.

Must see photo op. The one-lane suspension bridge over the White River that feeds Table Rock Lake. Take 62 west from ES and turn right on AR 187 to the tiny town of Beaver. OR.... Take AR23 north through ES and turn left on AR187 to the bridge.

3.5 miles south of Jasper on AR 7 (between Jasper and the Cliff House restaurant) the Scenic Point overlook is a good viewing place. The parking lot is uphill gravel so be careful! Many bikers park at the bottom and walk up, but then you don't get to include your bike in the photos.

About 1.5 miles south of the Cliff House restaurant is the Asia Point scenic overlook area. A good photo-op spot if the air is not too hazy.

Everyone loves to ride up to the haunted Crescent Hotel high up on Prospect Ave. http://www.crescent-hotel.com/
But for a unique view of the hotel there's a hidden overlook from the other hillside. About 1.5 miles east on 62 from the host hotel, turn left on East Mountain St to the overlook. There's a small blue sign at the intersection pointing the way, but be quick to spot it, the turn is in the middle of a nice sweeping banked turn that all the cage drivers take way too seriously.

    See ya' there!
