Post a picture of your Oilhead

Nice (biased opinion)

Black with pinstripes AND mag wheels? What year is it? I thought that color was only the 75th and 2001 and both came with wire spoked wheels.

It's a 1999.
I've seen these bikes with a few different options like chrome heads and spoked wheels. I wasn't sure if the mags were put on after or if they came like that. I know the previous owners had a few bmw's so it's very possible that they replaced the wheels themselves.

"Break-in" trip to CO had the RT for one week when this was taken in Oct.

My 2004 BMW R1150 GS Adventure taken on the Hahntennjoch in Austria...

Unfortunately, my 2004 R1150 GS Adventure was written off during my 2009 tour, thanks to an 18 year old with a 17 day old driver's licence who ran into the back of me while I was stopped in traffic. The idiot was on his cell phone on that all so important call. :rolleyes Cell phone users - get a life! It has been replaced by my 2003 BMW R1150 GS Adventure for my European Alps tours.

But my 2004 R1150 GS Adventure got replaced with something much nicer...an ultra mint, low mileage 1995 Porsche Carrera 2 (993) in Speed Yellow. :clap :nyah
