For Immediate Release:

Gina's BMW Motorcycles, Inc. located at 3 Escort Lane in Iowa City, Iowa was sold on March 12, 2015.

Gina and Julius Dusterhoft are pleased to announce their retirement from Gina's BMW Motorcycles, a business that was opened by the two BMW Motorcycle enthusiasts, along with their daughter Anna, in a small storefront in Coralville, Iowa in 1994. Over the last 21 years, Gina's has grown far beyond the Dusterhoft's early vision of a 'mom & pop bike shop' into a top performing dealership for BMW Motorcycle sales and service nationwide. They have also earned a great reputation throughout Iowa and the surrounding states for the quality of their sales and service departments, and their commitment to customer service.

The Dusterhofts have truly enjoyed serving the BMW motorcycle community over the years, and would like to offer their heartfelt gratitude to their many loyal customers for their continued business, and their phenomenal staff-both past and present-for their hard work and dedication. "When we opened the business, we had a combined 400,000 miles on BMW motorcycles, and we have been so fortunate to be able to share our passion for riding BMW motorcycles with so many customers throughout the years, from long-time BMW enthusiasts to first-time BMW owners." When asked about their success over the years, Gina said, "we worked diligently at making sure our customers had the best sales and service experience possible when they walked through the doors, whether they were kicking tires or planning to make a purchase."

Sun & Fun Motorsports will take ownership of the dealership as of Friday, March 13, 2015. The dealership will continue to operate in the current location at 3 Escort Lane in Iowa City, Iowa, and will be renamed BMW Motorcycles of Iowa City.

Sun & Fun Motorsports is working on becoming Iowa's Largest Motorsports Dealership. With their first purchase only last year of Don's Honda on Highway 1 and now Gina's and a few more announcements in weeks to come, they certainly are on their way to making their mark in Iowa City.

Customers of BMW Motorcycles of Iowa City can expect the same great service and customer satisfaction that they received in the past. Sun & Fun Motorsports has recently brought in Robert Klein as the Director of Operations for the ever growing team. Mr. Klein has a platform for his employees that they are to sell the experience to their clients, not the machine itself.

Events for the summer are in the planning stages with many charity rides and bike nights to be hosted at BMW Motorcycles of Iowa City.

Congratulations to Gina and Julias. They had a good run.

Best wishes for continued success to Sun and Fun. I'm wonder where/what their other shops are?

Wonderful people.....Now they will have time to enjoy their bikes again after spending so many years taking care of others.

I'm wonder where/what their other shops are?

They only mentioned the Honda shop on Hwy i which was purchased last year. Sounds like more purchases are in the works.
Maybe one of the locals will know more about the new owner.
