handlebar risers for k1600gtl

Risers

I just installed risers yesterday, but they are not from A&S. There is a guy on the BMW K1600 Forum who makes them for $140. Translates to about 1.5 inches up and 1.5 inches back which puts the grips in the center of my palm in a relaxed position. I have not noticed any change to handling or cornering characteristics. first impression is I like them :)

Thanks for sharing the info. I'll post data once I get the others installed. I hope the 2" back isn't too much.

risers installed

they arrived, I installed, I test drove...
I love the fact that I have choices in position! It's amazing how much difference the risers made. As a shim between the original bars and the mount on the yoke, the risers I installed from http://www.ascycles.com/detail.aspx?ID=191746 Innovative Design brought the bars up and back just the right amount.
happy to share install lessons learned and a photo or two if interested

Check out these risers. Same rise and pullback as the innovative risers.

What is the torque on K1600 Handlebar screw?

I am adding a riser to my K1600GT and don't have a shop manual (ok, sorry I know I need one etc...). What is the torque on the main handlebar bolt?
Thank you.
