Looks like the recent snow allowed the desert to bloom out. This must be the best time of the year, temperature wise, in Big Bend.

Pretty close :brad

We've had more rain over the winter than usual, and that is leading to the best wildflower show in 25 years.

Temperaturewise, we have pretty good weather most of the 8 months we spend here. And the summer isn't bad once you get past May and June!

And when the rare snow arrives it seldom lasts more than a day.

Niagara Falls USA

I took this photograph, a week ago yesterday. Never seen Niagara Falls look like this. Of course for us, this was possibly the coldest February ever recorded in our part of Canada. :gerg

Will Gadd, an ice climber/adventurer from Alberta, became the first to climb the wall of spray ice next to Horseshoe Falls, a few weeks ago.

As did his fellow Albertan, Sara Heuniken, who followed his lead. Although the Canadian Falls had some ice, the American Falls were spectacular!Canadian Ice Falls.jpg :thumb

A little different from the photographs that Voni has been posting from southern Texas. :laugh
