Should I change my oil weight from 5/40 now or wait until after the first of the year? Sorry just asking. :):):)

Might as well ask about potential ethanol damage to your fuel system........

Throughout the ages, 3 has been associated with many important and exponential mathematical operations.....not 2 nor 5- it must be 3

Oil weight question #2-My Toyota truck oil filler cap says one weight and the manual says another, who should I believe, the one made by Toyota (before they changed their mind) or the other one made by Toyota (after they changed their mind)?:scratch

Average the two weights. After all, this is a math thread.

Realize that the very low numbers (my friends new Tundra wants 0-20w) is to help the fuel economy ratings. Use oil that is appropriate to your usage.
So, the 5-20w suggested for the big block Chebbie in my motorhome would be 5+5=10....20+10=30......10-30 would be the correct answer to running thin oil in an engine compartment that doesn't get enough airflow as it is. :D

a) Post the 2 oil weights. We need more info.
b) Exactly what does this have to do with the date thing and/or PI?
