Scrap the fleamarket!

sedanman

neanderssance man
Every item I look at seems to be "on sale" with free shipping. Item descriptions almost universally disclaim that shipping is NOT included. Perhaps there is a fault with the software that forces the "free shipping"? That's a minor complaint to be sure but what really frosts me is that users seem to be unable to differentiate motorcycles from PARTS OF MOTORCYCLES.

I know, at first glance it's a bit misleading but you're going to read the item description carefully anyway, I hope, if you're interested in something, right? To say "scrap the fleamarket" is a bit harsh, no? Didn't you see the many posts where it is explained that it's still a work in progress? Heck, they haven't even loaded all the ads they are going to include yet. I expect there will be a few tweaks and adustments in the coming weeks.

Hi sedanman,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. It seems there may be an issue with the porting of listings to the new marketplace. Also, would you like to see more specific item subcategories? We can work together with your admin and make specific subcategories that are easier to navigate through.

Sincerely,
Niko @ Panjo Support

I think the "On Sale" part is embedded in the ad, not added by the user. I agree, makes it seem a bit "fluffy". Items listed are not really "on sale", so to speak, but for sale.

I also agree that we don't need more categories, as this is not a high volume sales place, where you only want to look at one type of ad. If you lumped them all together, I would expect about a page of new ads every day or 2. I like to look at ads lumped, myself.
