How is the roundel fastened to the bracket?

The roundel (standard BMW part 51-14-8164-924) is adhesive backed and has two pins that are used for alignment. The bracket has the pin holes that not only allow for perfect alignment but also it is a snug fit which aids in keeping it in place.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm leaning toward auxiliary brake lighting. Something like what Lee suggested. Or perhaps Hyper lights, if they'll go in that place. Any Hyperlite insight/pics would be appreciated.

Regarding the roundel/bracket, is drilling required to mount that bracket to the fender? I bought one and don't see how to get the nuts provided with the bracket behind the screw holes molded in the fender.

The fender is adjustable. Looking at the fender from the inside there is one nut to remove and the entire adjustable portion of the fender can be removed. That will allow you to mount the bracket without drilling. Once complete, reinstall the adjustable fender part which will slide right back on.

Does it help to slide the fender extension down when mounting the bracket?

Fender Holes

Also look for "Custom Dynamics" dual intensity LED Light Bars. Lots of LED options and good quality stuff.
