This issue of ON, June, 2014 has a touring tip by Chewey A. Madra from Lancaster, PA which recommends the use of a fruit juice lid to cover the ignition ring to prevent rain/water from entering the ignition key slot.
Sounds like a great idea, but I have tried all sorts of lids and cannot find one that fits. Has anyone else found a lid that fits? Are the ignition rings different sizes for each model of bike (RT,GS,R)?
I don't know Chewey's forum user name, so I can't send him a PM. Chewey, if you are monitoring the forum, would you be so kind as to give us a brand name of the fruit juice you use, so we can find a correct fit?
Thanks,
Bill
