How is the rally site doing with the flooding?

How are the fairgrounds holding up with all the rain?

Hopefully the rain will end soon and there will be several weeks of drying before the rally.

Add bug spray to your checklist: looks like mosquitoes will be prevalent.

It's holding up just fine. Attended the Back to the Fifties car show there this past weekend with its thousands of cars and people. No mud, no crud..... just fine thank you. The fairgrounds is well above the Mississippi flood plain and unless Noah makes a return showing, all should be well. :thumb

Better it rains now than at the time of the rally. Good to hear the rally site is in good shape.

What about GETTING TO the rally site?

From where? There were some roads closed here and there in southern and southwestern Minnesota due to mudslides, but I believe that's all cleared out now. Understand that this rally site is pretty much smack dab in the middle between Minneapolis and St. Paul, on the slightly north and east side of Minneapolis and slightly north and west side of St. Paul in Falcon Heights/Roseville.

There are no issues getting there from anywhere, as far as I know.

The Mississippi River in St Paul is expected to crest this weekend. I travel back and forth across the Mississippi and the Minnesota and have had no major problems. There may be some very localized issues now but nothing to worry about by rally time.

The Mn/DOT Traveler Information Map is colorful but no more so than any summer. Do some research there about your specific routes.

The Metro Area Traffic map is used by all the stations. It is constantly updating. Use this to plan commutes around the Twin Cities

The Fair Grounds does a very good job of controlling the unofficial state bird. You can check on the Metro wide status at the Metropolitan Mosquito Control District website.
