plug wire resistance test

Evening all,
I can't remember what the measured resistance is supposed to be when measuring from spark plug cap to cap. My '81RT has stock coils and plug wires. I get 18K ohms and it seems to me this should be around 12K but i can't remember.
Thanks

The number should be about 5K ohms per element - two caps and two coils equals about 20K ohms. 18K is probably within the range of readings. 12K would be more for the early models which only had 1K ohm caps.
