BMW Tank Bag - Yellowing Map Cover

I have a new (to me) BMW Tank Bag for my R1200RT. The map cover is yellowing probably due to the effects of UV. I can still read maps through it, but would like to clear it up if possible. I have tried Nexus plastic cleaner, hydrogen peroxide and some other stuff without any change. Suggestions about what to try (including: "Fuhgeddaboutit!") gratefully received.:bow:bow

TIA - John Gamel

Somewhere in these forums there is a thread about this. If I remember correctly, the plastic was cut off and replaced by a sail-maker or auto-convertible-top maker or other niche professional.

Google it. There is a thread on avrider where a guy fixes them for $25 plus shipping.

Marine Canvas Guy. They will hopefully use boat eisenglass which is tougher and better than what came on you tank bag.

Vinegar supposedly works well, on either frosting or yellowing, forget which. Might be worth a try to see how it helps.

Replacement

I have been through two tank bags on BMW. Got the original with the purchase in fall 2011. Got the first replacement fall 2012 (so yellow you could barely see through it). Got the second replacement spring 2014. We will see...:scratch
