    96 R1100RT fairing removal

Hi; I am trying to remove the right side fairing and dash housing to do repairs on the fuel indicator and gear shift indicator assembly. I have removed all visible bolts, but the something is holding under the mirror and I can't find out what it is, anyone have any hints? thanks Woody

The mirror needs to come off. There is one screw underneath that needs to come out. You remove the mirror by holding it underneath with your right hand, then with tour left palm heel gently hit the outside edge with a blow towards the front. It should pop right off.
