An incredible sight. Reminds me of the schools of fish swimming in unison in the ocean. Witnessing that in person would be awe inspiring.
 
In Portland in September we have a phenominom where thousands of Vaux swifts swarm a tall chimney at dusk. Over the course of about 45 minutes more and more gather, circling the chimney in ever tighter radii. Responding to an unknown cue the begin to funnel into the giant pipe in a whirlwind of birds. Usually there is a falcon that waits and grabs one then flys off. It has nowhere the number of birds in the video, but it is a swell event and people bring blankets, wine and crowd the school yard where it occurs for cheap entertainment on pleasant autumn evenings.
