Salt Lake City, Utah - BMW Shop/Mechanic Suggestions?

    Hi,

I'm new to Salt Lake City, Utah and need to have a lot of work done on my 1981 R100CS including having replacement parts ordered and installed.

Looking for a good AND CHEAP mechanic/shop in the greater Salt Lake City area. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
    - Nick

    Welcome to the forum, Nick!

Beware Cheap! You want someone competent. There is a local dealer. But I stopped by this shop:

and was nicely impressed with their sense of maintenance and the kinds of bikes they had in there. I've never had them do any work, but it might be some place to go by and chat for starters.

Exactly, often "good" and "cheap" are not synonymous. Look for competent and reasonable. Local clubs should have opinions on that.

+1 on http://bavarianmotorcycleworkshop.com. Ron and the crew will take good care of your airhead. And, if you stop by the March breakfast meeting of the Beehive Beemers MC club you' ll get to meet some of Ron's other customers as well. :^)
