New GTL Rider in Apex, NC - Any other long distance riders around?

Greetings...

I take delivery of my 14 GTL next week. The folks at Capital BMW were super and very easy to deal with. Thanks!

I've been riding for about 35 years and the past 25 on Harleys. I'm into long distance trips when possible and love the NC mountains. Now I've moved to BMW and looking forward to making some new riding friends. My wife and I enjoy day trips and I like to head out for days. Bike camping is my favorite.

I take occasional long distances rides with two of my friends who also ride BMWs. We have been to the Johnson City and Sedalia Rallies and intend to ride to the St. Paul Rally in July. We have ridden in the North Carolina mountains, but much prefer West Virginia for more spectacular riding, without the crowds you find on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I live in Chatham County, just north of Jordan Lake.

That's great. I think I am going to ride to the annual in July too. I would like to link up for a ride when this cold air leaves us.
