There seem to be many available.
I'd reason that is why the prices seem lower than I'd expect.
A dealer here in n-east Ohio recently told me that the GTL was his best selling model this year.
Surprised me to hear that.
Personally, they're too big, too heavy for my purposes. Then there's the price, a bit beyond my station. If I rode 2-up, long distance, sure, I guess I'd consider a K16
To bring the thread back to The R bike..
If a 2014 R1200 RT can be had, without radio or GPS for 20ish, well that might just work for me.

I have to wonder if they'll offer it without a radio. May be not. At some point a lot of things that were options will be standard now. I guess we'll see in time.
I'd guess that you will be able to purchase a new 2014 R1200RT without a Radio.
Just as you can purchase a K1600GT without a radio.
There will however, mainly be fully optioned bikes at dealerships.
That seems to be the established routine.
You'll have to special order a non radio bike.
I hope that, as with the 2014 GSs, one will be able to order options for a 2014 RT "a la carte"'
I owned a 2002 R1150 RT, it had a factory radio.
Admittedly a decade ago, the radio was useless. Ruined what was otherwise a fine storage bin.
Switched to custom ear plug speakers to enjoy my tunes as I rode. I'd recommend against that, @ 58 I have tinnitus. Although I was careful with volume settings, I'm sure the ear plug speakers didn't help protect my hearing.
There's much ambient noise when riding, radio volume has to be set too loud to overcome it.

I just got the Full R1200RT specs from my dealer (of Motorcycles that is), but the .pdf is too large 670 something kb, and the forum limit is 150kb.
No Prices, but al the other info on how the gear is packaged and what all is available with descriptions.

No radio on my '03 RT. I didn't want one, and the locking compartment is nice for paperwork.

Have a radio on my K16GT and have never listened to it. Sorry to say, but when I ride motorcycles I do not listen to the radio, when I drive a car, I don't text, when I am in a restaurant I am not talking on my cell-phone.....
