Driveshaft Fill Plug Location 83 R100RT?

    Hello All,

Despite spending quite a bit of time searching out the fill plug location here and on the interwebs (including Youtube), I just can't seem to find where one fills the driveshaft lube. I can find how to drain it. How much lube (100-150cc depending who you ask) - but nothing about where to fill it. I understand it's a case of weak internet-fu probably but any pointers would be appreciated.

I will follow up with pics for posterity.

The plug is on top of the square section of the final drive, just behind where the final drive attaches to the swingarm.

I'd err on the lower side for the fill amount. The specs call for 150cc but the more oil that's in there, the less for air expansion when heating up. 100cc should be just fine. It's difficult to measure the amount through the fill hole. So, drain and refill from a measured beaker with 100cc.

Thanks all for the help! That's what I figured, but I wanted to be sure. At first I was overthinking it and looked for it towards the front of the housing.
