New Member in Central Maine

Hi folks, new member from Central Maine here. Returned from the VBR3 last week, had such a good time I thought I'd join this site to keep an eye out for other such events. Lots of great information here, hope to contribute. I purchased a new 2011 R1200R this last January after 13 years and over 100k miles on Triumphs. I've got over 6k on the R so far and cant say enough good about this bike.

Welcome. Glad to have you here. Looking forward to a trip report about the VBR3 and all the neat stuff you saw along the way.

You know our Rally will be there next year. :thumb

Oh, and we like bike porn. Post a pic of your ride.

Welcome to the forum...

and congratulations on your entry into BMW motorrad ownership! You will find greater value in MOA membership far beyond this great forum.

Share some pics of your bike when you get a chance.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll try and get some reasonable sized photos of the bike, she's pretty basic, R1200R soon to be fitted with a Parabellum Scout shield.

Bud Duluth is an excellent place for a rally, great city, lots of history. I stayed behind a day to explore the city and take the North Shore Scenic Railroad trip up to Two Harbors, excellent trip and met some extraordinary people, I highly recomend the trip but if you cant make it at least tour the museum, loads of history and exceptionally well maintained and presented http://www.northshorescenicrailroad.org/Home/History.asp. Im sure your club will find lots of things to keep them entertained. Ive got a couple of rally's planned, the Moonshine Lunch Run to start the season off, then International Rally in July, we will see after that, maybe something a little closer to home.
