The wife's worked for the insurance division of the Automobile Club of Southern California for thirty-two years now. She started in sales, did well, got older (aren't we all); the quota requirements started taking it's toll (if their sales numbers are off after thirty days they receive a verbal warning, another thirty days a written, and if another thirty, they're gone); so she moved to a supervisory position (not management) where she puts in the same amount of hours (50+), and makes less. But at least, after putting in thirty-two years, with five years left to go, she can't be fired for a sales slump.
So in light of pinched salaries, and ridiculous sales quotas (their sales staff turnover is astounding; they don't seem to care about the cost of training new sales people for six months) it's incredibly ... mmm mm annoying ... to see SoCal AAA gobbling up surrounding AAAs (Arizona,Texas, Indiana, Hawaii) AND playing around with...
and a new headquarters building
Did I mention they have their own track?; the Auto Club Speedway
