MotoGP at Laguna Seca

The parts guy, Paul at Cal BMW gave me a free ticket so the wife and I headed to Salinas, about an hour away to see the MotoGP race. I've never seen so many bikes in my life on the road. Crotch rockets outnumber the very very few HDs, if any. It was a beautiful day. We bought a second ticket on the side of Reservation Road for $50. Cops were pulling bikes over for riding on the left side of the 4 miles of backed up road. They did not care if you passed the cars on the right. When we got into the race I asked a guy where to they take our tickets. He said way back at the entrance. The traffic was so backed up that they stopped checking for tickets at 11:30am. Dang! Couldn't complain we averaged it out to $25 each to see the race.
Nicky Hayden won.
Edwards second.
Valentino Rossi third.

The BMW hospitality chalet was pretty sweet too.

And to answer Flash, this was given to me by my dealer, not through the MOA.

I went down there with some friends from Seattle. (Lotsa pictures here.) Ran into the lovely Mrs. Kbasa and her husband at the BMW hospitality tent. Still, it looks like Swider had a better time than I did...

Kbasa that hotel does look like a dump. All that beautiful scenery ruined by the most unnatural thing on earth, a golf course!

That place would be 1000 times better if they would turn that atomic green grass into an MX track
