Hi Scott-
We're doing the Ramapo 500 July 13-14. It's a ride and a camp out. Haven't done it before, so I don't have anymore details than are on the flyer: http://www.ramapomc.org/RMC_Events_files/ramapo_flyer_2013.pdf
It's supposed to have really great routes.
I too have been looking for an alternative and found the 33rd Annual British Biker Rally closer to home happening July 19-21 in SouthWest Wisconsin. In the driftless area of Wisconsin with some great riding. http://www.britishbiker.net/Annual_Rally.htm. Also close buy is the Richland Center Farmer's Market where on Saturday mornings, an Amish Bakery vendor has a table of fresh breads and pastries available, the cinnamon rolls, glazed dougnuts and blueberry scones are the best.
