doing valve adjustment and throttle sync

Another question for you all:

Do you use the same procedures for a valve adjustment and throttle sync on a 1200GS as you would on an R1100RS?

thanks

Tony

Depends on which 1200, as far as the valve adjust. The camheads have totally different valve adjusters (half-moon-shaped shims), but the other 1200s are the same as the 1100/1150.
You don't adjust the idle sync on 1200s since there are no BBS, and there is some disagreement about whether you have to disable (or 'park') the stepper motors that automatically adjust the idle sync. Most people just do the off-idle sync (3000 rpm or so) with the stepper motors left enabled.
