'77 R100/7 Carb Springs

Getting my old /7 ready to roll again and noticed during the carb disassembly that my carbs do not have the springs in the diaphram area. Is this normal on some carbs or do I need to order some? Carb numbers 64/32/19 & 20.

IIRC I have 19/20 carbs on my /7...no springs. I don't think they're really necessary...I suppose they provide a positive force to ensure the slide goes down...but at the same time, it's an extra force the vacuum has to overcome. :dunno

Thanks Kurt! Since the bike was purchased second hand I was not sure if this was normal or not.
