Motolights Halogen vs. Clearwater LED's - 2012 R1200GS

And to be clear, they're on low at all times except when my high beams are turned on. Of course they're dimmed into oncoming traffic.

I just had the Clearwater Erica's installed and used them last night and the night before as best I could with the traffic. The pictures from the prior post give a pretty accurate depiction of what the Erica's are like. I had them on bright and as cars approached from behind the car lights added nothing to the light in front of me and as I would dim them when they got even with me it was a lot darker with the Erica's on dim and the addition of their lights.

I just traded in my 08 GSA for a 13 GSA and the Erica's replaced the lower factory lights on the GSA. I had the local BMW shop install them but the wiring harness that came with it made it a pretty effortless upgrade. I really like how the BMW on/off switch that controlled the lower lights on the GSA now turns on or off the Clearwater's. In addition, when they are on, the brightness adjustment allows you to turn them down to a lower level and no one flashed me. But when you hit the bright switch it seriously lights up the road. I would guess that if you were doing a hundred you would not out run the lights, still not a good idea at night. Money well spent.
