Front Shock Replacement Assistance for '03 R1100S

BC1100S

Left Coast Rider
I am in the middle of replacing my front shock. I removed the rear wheel, removed the upper shock mounting nut, removed the lower clevis bolt, and have jacked up the front of the bike. There is not enough clearance to draw the shock down from the upper mounting eye in the steering head. The a-arm will not drop down far enough to allow it to be pulled out. Its really close, though. Do I need to be "forceful"?

Any assistance you can provide would (as always) be greatly appreciated.

**EDIT: Uh, nevermind. It helps when one removes the wiring to the horn. Doh!
