Hi! New to MOA, but on my 2nd BMW bike. Been lurking on the forum for a while. I recently upgraded from an R1150RT to a R1200RT. Put about 25000 on my 1150 in the last year and a half and decided I wanted something newer.

And some pictures, cause these posts are always better with pics! Here's the 1150 on 18 day ride from San Francisco up into Canada:

And my new ride on a little getaway last weekend!

Congratulations on the new bike!

Can't go wrong with an RT. I never rode the pre-1200 but from what I have read they were great bikes as well.

If you are ever taking a trip through my area, let me know and maybe we can ride together for a while. If you have not ridden these roads, you are in for a treat!

Thansk KJ6OCL. I do ride up there from time to time. I'm planning a trip up to Rick Mayer's soon, and if the weather cooperates i'll take 36 again. One of the best roads I've done. If i'm not mistaken, that goes through Trinity.

Yes, 36 is about 15-20 minutes from my house.
