Yes there are 2 drain plugs. One on the side, a black 17mm hex head beside the side stand which also has a filter that should be changed (more oil comes out of this than the oil drain plug than on the bottom of the pan), and a plug on the bottom of the oil pan. If you go to http://www.webbikeworld.com/bmw-c-650-gt/blog.htm there is a picture of the location. Yes it is the same filter as a k1600 or the r1200gs
