I have used it facing forward inside the oil cooler scoop. Got some engine sound, too.

Mounting the camera
I was thinking of mounting it on the helmet so you can see more than a single direction all the time. This way if most interesting woman in the world steps out on the edge of the road, and beckons you to follow her on her red Ducati back to her house, you can prove to everyone that it really happened, and you made the choice to drive on by; the guys would never believe you otherwise. Here ya go Randy. Hwy 337 from Vanderpool to Leakey Texas, in beautiful Hill Country. The second one I am chasing OU812 on his Buell.
It worked great, IMO.

I think so. I do not want to capture every moment of my rides, but some nice stretches of road are screaming to be documented by me.

I might suggest placing some electrical tape over the mic port to cut down on the wind noise.
