Boxer Harley

These are pretty rare bikes and this one looks fairly complete & original. it will be interesting to see what it actually sells for.

My Dad, who was a motor-pool Master Sargent in ww-ll said that, that was the best Harley, Harley ever built. He said that since we won the war, and German industry was kaput,..he was surprised H/D didn't capitalize on it , and build them for the masses?.

As said,..I'd like to have one , but too $$ for me.

I'm told, that near hear, there is a guy that built a replica , mating an older H/D frame with a 900 Airhead?...I've never seen it.

Auburn and Dusenberg cars and said museum! Buncha thread-jackers.... Speaking of auctions...anyone go to Grayboy Auction over the weekend?

Same here

Yes indeed. He saw we were on BMWs, and said you need to ride my XA. He already had it out, so he fired it up for me. What a wonderful day.

Dale is one of the most generous people I know with his time and knowledge. I loved riding it around the property too. His son had the Harley sidecar racer out and took the son of one of our group for a hellacious ride. The kid had a face wide grin when Dale's son put it on two wheels.

Harley XA

Seems like Dale will let just about anyone ride his 007 XA. He has like 5 or more in his Motorcycles Thru Time Museum;

Met up with the builder of this bike, 'BeamerGlide', in Daytona mid 90s. It was a beautiful build and attracted alot of attention...
He was from Oklahama I believe.
