No problems on my 2005RT fuel strip. 110K miles. I've never run the tank dry and use ethanol free gas when possible.

2009 RT with just under 40K miles ... and still knocking on wood!
'09 Titan Silver R1200RT
Just experienced what might be a failure. Will be checking it out, but not happy at being in this club
09 GSA, 5 strips in first 20k miles. Current strip is not accurate, I just use odometer. This is the only problem I have had with this motorcycle.
No problems - so far so good. (Fingers crossed, knocking on wood, etc.)

The original strop failed in 20000 miles, the second one at 300 miles and the third at 11000 miles. I am now going 'old school'and using the tr odometer.
riding up to my friendly semi-local dealer in 40F temps. One minute a 1/4 tank, next second light is on and the miles remaining readout read " -- -- -- --"
They ordered up #8, and just in case a spare one since one they replaced was bad on installation (I think that was #6..)
Can I change my vote? In September my strip took a dump.
2012 R1200R. New strip is better and more accurate. It also leaves 1/2 gallon in the tank when 0 miles to go. Fine with me.
had dealer replace strip sept of 2012 today it went bad. any pots on diu if possible?
