Headlight protector 1991 K75RT

I bought a headlight shield from Aerostich and have a problem attaching it. I cut it to fit my headlight, however, the lens of the headlight is slightly curved and has a sharper angle along the top. Any suggestions on how to attach the shield without wrinkles or air bubbles? I've failed twice so far.

Here's the link to the item: http://www.aerostich.com/14-mil-headlight-shield.html
