Rear tire removal with Bushtec hinge on R1150RT

I just purchased a Bushtec hitch for my 04 R1150RT. I haven't installed it yet but I have been wondering about rear tire removal with the hitch installed. It looks to me as if you were to remove the two rear most bolts and then loosen the front bolt at the brake pedal that the hitch would then lay down on the ground at the rear and allow the rear tire to come straight back. That is after removing the rear mud flap. Has anyone done it this way?
