    BMW 2000 R1100S - $4800

2000 BMW R1100S. 56100 miles. German engineering at its best! This machine is in excellent condition, see photos. Ask for more if you're interested. Factory saddlebags have carry handles and can be removed like luggage. Adjustable Bitubo shocks installed front and rear. Carbon Fiber front fender and fiberglass rear hugger cover low mileage Dunlop 208 tires. Bike has Anti-lock brakes and Heated Grips as well as a 12 volt jack for heated gear. All great options to have with the fall and winter riding seasons right around the corner. Also has a cigarette lighter socket for Radar/GPS/cigarette lighter up on triple clamp. I recently purchased it from the original owner who fastidiously maintained it. If you are into long distance rides, this is the bike for you. It gobbles up highway miles all day long but, also carves up twisties pretty well. Included with the bike are the comprehensive service records as well as 2 factory repair manuals and assorted spare parts and some service tools. Have clear title in hand.

There were a few other recent postings but the they were scaled a bit higher in prices.

    Good luck
Thanks for the link to the one in New Jersey. Sent her an email. Although the color is second choice the price is right. About $1000 less than some of the other ones listed. Would be a deal if everything checks out.

My R1100S getting ready for her cross country trip - sans owner

So it took a while longer than expected and it took a change of mind to buy this R1100S. Not the Boxer Prep model as originally desired, but a silver 'standard'. Thought it would be a better long term fit -what ever that means . 2004 model with under 11,000 miles. Leaving NJ today and will arrive in CA in 7-8 days. Hoping for a sunny weekend.

Thanks for everybody's help, thoughts, input, etc.

Congratulations, sounds like you got a good deal. Too band you didn't do a fly and ride. Enjoy her when she gets home and ride safely and welcome to the ranks of BMW ownership. Take care.
