06 GSA head lamp to high

i installed a set of HID bulbs for my 06 GSA and found that there is not a lot of room within the rear side of the reflector for the extra wiring and the socket that the wires plug into. this presents a little problem of all that extra stuffing causing the reflector to tend pivot upwards so that you have a great view of the underside of the trees and on coming cars flicking you the high beams, i tried to carefully manipulate the socket so that the reflector has the least amount of push upwards. i'm wondering if there is a deeper light socket cover so that there might be more room for wiring and socket. any ideas? thanks. peter.
