Cut "Brown Wire under the seat"???

I was on another BMW forum and they mentioned cutting a brown wire under the seat and the bike (K1200LT) would "Run better and not stall while coming to a stop". Has anyone had any experience with this and what are they talking about?
Do you recommend it? My Bike is a 2002 and I have had this happen a few times, not too many that its been annoying yet. Let me know what you guys think about this. Oh yeah they also said the dealers did NOT recommend it.
Thanks Beemer Brothers.

Have you complained to your dealer about hesitation or stalling at low speed? This should be your FIRST course of action. There was an updated engine management computer with a service bulletin which addresses this running condition on 2000 and earlier bikes, but if your 2002 is doing it, the dealer needs to be made aware of it.

The reason I suggest this is that stalling while coasting up to a light is usually an improperly adjusted TPS, so your bike's problem might be something else entirely. Put that warranty to work!

Brown Wire....cont...

Thanks Jon, I took the Bike in for the 6k service and mentioned the stalling and hesitation and don't really know if they did anything or not but the bike seems to be running better. Hasn't occured again since. We'll see how it goes. There is still a little hesitation on low rpm, don't know if the brown wire would help that or not.:brow
