'04 650CS non ABS speedo issue

dlowry

bored, bored ...
About halfway into a 400 mile ride yesterday my speedo quit, along with the odo/tripmeter. The bike still runs fine, but I'd like to get it fixed before we start the 900 mile ride home in a couple of days if possible. The fuses all look fine. Any thoughts as to where we should start looking?

Thanks for your help!

Nevermind, I now know what the problem was. As we crossed back into Canada this afternoon, the rear end let go. Had to call CAA and wait for the tow truck. Happily, they arrived within the hour with an enclosed trailer and took the bike back to our local dealer for me. At least it happened on our side of the border.
