"Service" warning reset?

Welcome to the forum Ted. As others have mentioned, a scan tool is needed- OEM or GS 911. I won't hurt anything to leave it on, mine has been on since a battery failure set it off. If you are not familiar with the GS 911, Here is the GS 911 walk-through done by one of our members. Good luck. Gary

I wanted to stop at a different dealer on a trip to have them reset it but they refused to reset it as they claimed they would have to do the 6K service on the bike and etc before they were allowed to reset it...
