Hinged GPS Mount

Somewhere in the recent past I recollect seeing a hinged bracket for mounting a GPS etc. on a fixed platform. The hinge was adjustable so you could turn the GPS etc. to the correct position for viewing and then tighten it in place. Anyone got any ideas? I tried "Googleing" to no avail. Thanks, Glenn.

Thanks for the input. Not what I was remembering though (perhaps a flashback from the 70s?). It actually looked like a midsize squared-off door hinge but with a threaded tensioner instead of a hinge pin.

Something like this?

I've made several radar detector mounts using these locking hinges. Can be locked at any angle and the handle will rotate out of the way while keeping the hinge locked.

Very easy to add a GPS cradle to or a RAM ball plate.

Made from powdercoated aluminum with a poly handle. Flat parts are 1.50" square with two .250" holes in them. They're .1875" thick. Very sturdy and stay at the locked angle.

$19.07 each from www.Mcmaster.com Part #1604A41
