At 6'6" I lowered pegs and raised seat. Big help with knee aches. I also have found that a few minutes of leg stretches reduces knee aches.

Can you describe the stretches you found that help?
 
Lowered pegs and leg stretches

I generally do the hurdler's stretch, sitting on the floor in a position that looks like gong over hurdles. I touch toes and hold . I also lay back to stretch the thigh. Then I stand with feet at shoulder width and lean forward into a wall, keeping my heels on the floor, stretching calves.

Works for me. Try it.
