"01 F650GS Stalls

My '01 F650GS has 64K + and I keep it on a battery tender at night to keep the battery fully charged.

When I first start out in the morning the bike seems to stall when I try to pull away from a light from idle. The idle rpm is about 1500 and the bike rides fine once I get going, but the stalling at a light in rush hour is scary.

Any thoughts about what could cause this?

I know don't stop at the lights and all will be fine...NOT!

Dave - There are several possible reasons for stalling with the FI version of the F650. Rather than going throught the possiblities, go to theChain Gang FAQs and do a search for "stalling". The fix can range from switching to a projected tip plug to getting the local BMW shop to load the newest version of the FI code.
Cheers, Greg
