He's right, it is a bit desolate...LOL

I'm originally from Fallon and travel from Seattle area to there with some frequency. I've not been on the road from Cedarville to Gerlach since it was just a graded/graveled road. I understand that section is now paved, but it's not what you'd call high quality asphalt. Road from Gerlach to Wadsworth is fine. My plans for this next summer include using that route. I'm sorta tired of that stretch from Susanville to Reno...too many deer, and too many Smokey's. LOL

Some motorcycling buddies of mine have been on the route you're considering, and other than desolation (and lack of gas stations!) it's okay in their book.

Cheers!

Cedarville to Gerlach to Wadsworth is fine. It has been paved since the
mid 1980's.
There is gas in Cedarville and Gerlach and just outside Wadsworth.

You should stop at Bruno's Country Club in Gerlach.

thanks all for info...paved desolate road off the beaten path connecting alturas with reno....life in gerlach-empire....pass thru the famous black rock desert (burning man)...I'll top off my old r100pd's tank and enjoy!

If my buddies can handle that route on their Hogs/Victory's/Valkyries I believe your PD will handle it just fine... :thumb

You didn't say when you plan to travel, but the summer months get a little bit hotter than the Willamette Valley. LOL

Personally, I love those wide open spaces of Nevada...! :dance

Cheers!
