    Parking Light

Has anyone replaced the insipid parking light in the high beam enclosure with an LED light. Would the heat from the high beam light melt it.

    Thinking of this

Seems like more bother than it's worth.
Have you ever wanted to use it?

No bother. Just a case of swapping out the bulb.

I am more interested in a brighter bulb than using it for "parking".

I hate that there is a light up front that is not effective while riding.

I've used an led for the parking light for about a year. The led provides more of a xenon white look appearance and is brighter. It's pretty much still just a parking light but now shows up better and isn't the yellow incandescent.

Search fleabay and get a 2 pack from HK free shipping for about 2 bux.

    Ooops, my bad.
I was thinking of the RT headlight.
Didn't look to see what the OP was riding.

I think the bulb number is a BA9S (12v4w). This is an example:

This is the auction that ended but will provide a reference for you. Bear in mind that if you get 'taller' LED's that have more cree chips on them you have to pull the headlight out in order to insert the new tall one in as there's not enough room for your fingers and wire etc to get it in there.

....sorry but it's just quicker to ask that question in google than to write out an explanation...
