It's been flooding at storm tide for many years. Damage is typically minor.

Location of the sign is just about in the center of the map. BC High, UMass Boston, and the JFK Library are all built on fill.

Tom, at first I thought you were nuts to stop to take that picture. Then I noticed it was taken by a newspaper photographer. So ... that means your nuts, but for different reasons! :nyah Great picture and thanks for posting it.
 
After living in Wooh-stah (Worcester) for 2 years, "wicked" is forever part of my personal lexicon. I miss WAAF and girls from Web-stah.
 
Grew up in New England (Derry, NH) Never could figure out while people looked at my brother and I when we traveled and Wicked was every other word. Now live in PA, and still throw Wicked around when I can...
