The Video Thread

I'll be sure to seek your advices when I finally do make it out there. :wave
I'm sure I could spend a year riding between SF and the Canadian border without getting bored! :dance

Of that, there's absolutely no doubt. Take your pick of climates, roads and topography.

Nice job Bruce. I liked the camera angle and how you worked the train in.

What's an ET4?

I had to negotiate with the Union Pacific for that.
:ha

An ET4 for the uninitiated is manufactured by Piaggio under the marque Vespa.
150 CC 2 spd auto.

OK, OK. :nyah

I think I've posted this one before, but not on this thread. It is California SR 58 heading west out of McKittrick.

Some fine Smokies riding, longer than the GAP, a Legit 300+ turns (gap has less then 230 by my count) And NO traffic!

2 parts same ride, it is too long for one 10 minute YouTube video

Just two minutes of the ride to breakfast last Sunday. The real reason for this video was to play with a new camera. If you've got the bandwidth you can go full screen and click on the HD button for a 1080p version. The quality is not quite where it should because I had some mount issues (failure to test alignment :banghead) and had to rotate and zoom into the image to get things close to the proper orientation.

The camera is the Drift Innovation HD 170 Stealth. It was recently highly discounted by Amazon due to the release of a newer, smaller model from Drift.

Not everyone is stuck with winter can't-ride blues. This is from Jan 15th. I might have had to crank the heated liner to 30% from the normal 25% on the way to breakfast around sun-up. After breakfast I shot this leaving Pescadero on my way up to Alice's. Full screen HD available if you have the bandwidth.

Believe it or not, this road is in Pensacola!

Loved this ride. Gotta know what camera you used - the video was good, but the audio was about the best I've heard on a motorcycle.

I downloaded it in HD, which takes a half hour when you have Internet stuck in you by Time Warner. Then, played it on the HDTV across the room, and it was terrific. It had me leaning into the turns with you. Sound was great, color looked realistic, not 'blown-out.'

This is the kind of video I'd like to be able to shoot, without a bunch of fuss and setup. Just leave the camera mount on my helmet, and click it in place before a good ride.

Please let me know the make/model you used.
