    Brake Fluid

What DOT (3,4,etc..) level of brake fluid would you recommend for an '86 K75C ?

    Dot 4

DOT 4 is a direct (but better) replacement for DOT 3. Go with the 4; better high temperature characteristics.

You probably already know this, but DO NOT use DOT 5. It's an entirely different animal. (silicone based - not compatible with BMW's system)

btw, I used Synthetic DOT 4 in my K12RS and blew the clutch slave cylinder. I'm certain it was just coincidence, but nontheless I'm sticking with the non-synthetic DOT 4 from now on.
