    2007 R1200RT Final Drive Temp

Any of you guys ever felt your final drive after a long ride (2 up) to check the temperature? Felt mine right after getting off the bike after riding approx 200 miles, 2 up averaging 60 - 80 mph, 70 - 75 degsF ambient temp and it was fairly hot. Could keep my hand on it for maybe 10 or 15 seconds before it got uncomfortable. Was wondering if this is normal?

I've had a FD problem and that's exactly the proceedure I use when I pull into the garage.

MIne gets very warm, as does the caliper, but I don't recall it ever being too hot to keep my hand on.

Sorry, I guess I did leave it hanging...
Warm, sometimes I held longer, but once in awhile almost hot enough I knew I didn't want to leave my hand there. But never hot enough to touch it and pull back afraid of getting burned.
